Terms and Conditions / Disclaimers and Liabilities
Illuminated Design intends to produce high quality prints
and original artwork for its customers. However as all artwork
is either produced by hand or printed from original hand produced
artwork minor flaws and errors must be accepted as a standard
part of the finished product.
COPY RIGHT AND TERMS OF USAGE
Unless otherwise noted, all of the material on this web site is Copyright © 2004-2010 Illuminated Design Ltd. All rights reserved. No part of this web site may be reproduced, published, distributed, displayed, performed, copied or stored for public or private use in any information retrieval system, or transmitted in any form by any mechanical, photographic or electronic process, including electronically or digitally on the Internet or World Wide Web, or over any network, or local area network, without written permission of Illuminated Design Ltd.
Certificates, Illuminated Capitals and other components, images, designs and products are sold subject to the following conditions.
They may not be resold in original or altered form individually or as part of a design unless a commercial licence has been purchased. (Contact us directly for a quotation)
Use of any art work or designs sold by Illuminated design and Presentations, in commercial publishing or printing either on printed media or electronically, such as web pages, is subject to the puchase of a commercial licence. (Contact us directly for a quotation)
Unauthorized use of images within web pages, electronic media, commercial publications, advertising and any enterprise where profits are made as part of the use of the design will incure a free of 1000 times the original cost of the design plus 10 times the cost for each day or part day that the design has been in use. Where unauthorized use is by charitable for non profit making organisations the free will be 500 times the original cost plus 5 times per day or part day that the design has been in use.
Any other image not normally for sale will be subject to the same conditions but costs will be based on industy rates consistant with the type of image or content used.
Items bought for private use may be used as part of a larger design provided each item does not make up greater than 20% of the printed area.
Images for use in electronic media and web sites require additional licenses and contact should be made with Illuminated Designs for costs prior to purchase.
SERVICES
Where orders are for services stating a normal production time,
these times are for reference only. During times of peak demand
or were circumstances beyond our control prevent normal service
from taking place Illuminated Design will make every effort to
keep customers up to date and inform them of expected delays.
Should this result in an unacceptable delay and providing production
work has not already begun we will be glad to offer a full refund.
When, by special agreement, a completion date is agreed with
a customer then Illuminated Design will agree to have dispatched
the finished artwork within the agreed time and ownership of
the product will pass to the customer We can not be held responsible
for any delays as a result of postage, courier or other delivery
means beyond our control. Please allow for international postal
delays.
ELECTRONICALLY TRANSMITTED ORDERS
Many items on sale are stated as being for download, or to be sent as an e-mail attachment. Each item description will be accompanied by a stated file size in kilobytes (ending in kb) or megabytes (ending in mb). It is the responsibility of the purchaser to be aware of download speeds of their internet connection and Illuminated Design cannot be responsible for delays or difficulties in retrieving the transmitted files due a slow or unreliable connections or mail fillters, anti virus software or other locally run recurity software that may prevent you retrieving the file. We will however make every effort to find a solution should you experience problems.
ORDERING ERRORS
Illuminated Design will not accept responsibility for errors
made by the customer on the submitted order. Errors such as spelling
mistakes or incorrect dates that are incorrectly supplied by
the customer can only be corrected at additional cost to the
customer and with a potential subsequent delay to the completion
time. Note - it is very likely that such errors will require
the commencement of a new design as repairs are unlikely to produce
an acceptable result.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
Additional costs are as shown with the price of goods or services
ordered. There is no additional tax to pay on the price of goods
you see.
PRICING AND EXCHANGE RATE
Prices on this web site are displayed in Pounds Stirling. Where the price is also displayed in dollars this is an estimated price only and will vary depending on current exchange rates. The estimated price in dollars is currently based on the rate of:
£1 British Pound = $1.65 US Dollars.
THE RIGHT TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations
2000 (United Kingdom law) you have the right to cancel your order,
for any reason, within 7 working days of placing your order.
However, this right to cancel only applies to goods that can
be returned that have not been produced to order.
Any item that is produced and tailored specifically for the customer,
e.g. those that include specific names and dates, can only refunded
based on the degree of completion. The maximum refund will be
75% of the cost if work has been started on the item.
By placing an order for non-returnable goods that will be delivered
/ supplied before the 7 day cooling off period has expired, you
are agreeing to forfeit your right to cancel after non-returnable
goods have been shipped.
If you do decide to cancel your order within the cooling off
period, and this cancellation meets the above requirements, your
money will be refunded in full.
Returnable goods must be returned to Illuminated Design within
21 days of cancellation, in original condition, at the customer's
expense.
SERVICE CONTINUITY
Illuminated Design will not be held liable for any lack of continuity
of our services, nor for any losses or circumstances arising
from lack of service continuity.
SECURITY
All credit card transactions are processed by PayPal. No information
regarding credit card details is transmitted to Illuminated Design,
and Illuminated Design cannot be held responsible for fraudulent
or misuse of credit cards or credit card information.
AFFILIATES
Illuminated Design only provides links to, and is not responsible
for, the service provided by its affiliates (Quantum Enterprises).
